Brazil’s viewpoints on international organizations: Political aspects

Recent (geo)political tensions, the impact of Covid-19 pandemic and rise nationalism worldwide have brought to forefront processes (de)globalization both in social, political, economic terms. In this context, we place questions: How Brazil’s views on international organizations changed over years why does it matter when comes understanding country’s recent contribution (de)globalization? To answer aforementioned questions, article discusses some main points view (IOs) from a historical perspective. Therefore, aim analyze criticism political positions Brazil regarding most relevant IOs time, League Nations United Bretton Woods institutions. Additionally, paper addresses Jair Bolsonaro’s positions, especially his peculiar foreign policy oriented towards contestation system. As concluding point, provide sufficient evidence inclination based contempt for so-called ‘globalism’, as well nationalistic rhetoric.
